Let’s Be Faithful!

Habakkuk 2:2-9

READ –  “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.” Habakkuk 2:4 NLT

EXAMINE –
It made no sense to Habakkuk. How could holy, eternal, God, their Rock, use wicked Babylon to correct His chosen people of Judah? How could pure God stand in the presence of evil Babylon and watch them swallow up the LORD’s righteous people (Habakkuk 1:13)? Habakkuk knew that Babylon would only give the credit of victory to their false gods (Habakkuk 1:16-17). Habakkuk climbed his watchtower, folded his arms, and waited for God to reply (Habakkuk 2:1).

APPLY –
Habakkuk 2:4b “the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God” is quoted three times in the New Testament (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38). As we discovered in this weekend’s sermon, don’t just wait for an answer when the LORD has called us to work and be the answer. How? Let’s be faithful in reading the message because our faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Let’s be faithful in running with the message by sharing at least one Devotional Blog and one Worship Service weekly on your social media platform. Let’s be faithful in responding to the message by living a righteous and holy lifestyle.

PRAY –
Father God, please increase our faith in You so that we can remain faithful to You in these difficult times. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
