Brown Missionary Baptist Church is dedicated to changing lives and making a difference. We are excited to offer the BMBC Book Scholarship to our BMBC members who are current college students. Please have all your support documents ready to upload before beginning the application.

BMBC High School Graduates

• College Enrollment Verification Letter
• College Student ID
• Fall Class Schedule 6 complete BMBC Volunteer Hours between 1st Sunday in January – 3rd Sunday in July.

We are excited that you have chosen to continue your learning experience by seeking higher education. The following instructions are provided to assist you in the application process:

Application Deadlines:

• Fall Scholarship – 3rd Sunday in July
• Spring Scholarship – December 31

SCHOLARSHIP POLICY STATEMENT

The BMBC scholarship has been established to financially assist students who have been active members of Brown Missionary Baptist Church for a minimum of 6 months. Scholarship stipulations are listed below:

Funds will not exceed $800 per calendar year.

• $400 per semester for 12 credit hours (full-time) or more.
• $200 per semester for 11 credit hours (part-time) or less.

Student eligibility requirements are as follows.

• High School graduate or GED completion.
• Enrolled at a 2 or 4 year college or technical institution.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and be in good standing.
• Unofficial copy of high school or college transcript
• College acceptance letter – (HS graduates)

Six hours of volunteer work per semester at BMBC or an approved offsite location(MANDATORY). Offsite volunteer hours must be approved by the NextGen Ministry leaders (email nextgen@brownbaptist.org).

Scholarship monies will be awarded directly to the school upon approval of application. STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED NOT TO DEPEND ON SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS FOR INITIAL REGISTRATION/TUITION FEES.

Application must be submitted with all required documents. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by a member of the Next Generation Ministry.
