Brown Missionary Baptist Church Announces New Whitehaven Campus at Historic Location on Elvis Presley Blvd

MEMPHIS, TN — Brown Missionary Baptist Church (BMBC), under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Orr, is excited to announce the opening of its new Whitehaven Campus, located at 4800 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN. The inaugural worship service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with weekly services to follow every Sunday at the same time.

The Whitehaven Campus is a special addition to Brown Baptist’s growing ministry as the property was gifted by Whitehaven Baptist Church, a historic congregation that was established in 1848 and has worshiped at this location since 1887. This generous gift allows Brown Baptist to continue the legacy of faith and service in the Whitehaven community.

Expanding Our Mission to Whitehaven

With campuses already located at 980 Stateline Road and 7200 Swinnea Road in Southaven, MS, the Whitehaven Campus becomes the third location for Brown Baptist. This expansion reflects the church’s ongoing mission of “Changing Lives and Making a Difference” by meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of individuals and families across the Mid-South.

Brown Baptist has been a pillar in the mid-south for 143 years and is honored to build upon the foundation of Whitehaven Baptist Church and remain committed to being a beacon of hope and transformation in the Whitehaven area.
