READ – “Sing to the LORD, for He has done wonderful things. Make known His praise around the world.” Isaiah 12:5 NLT
EXAMINE – Isaiah reminded the Jews of their obligation to sing to the LORD of their gratitude for all the wonderful things the LORD had done for them (Isaiah 12:4). The LORD had saved them from their enemies and brought deliverance to them. Also, the people were commanded to shout to the nations of the greatness of the LORD because of Who He is and what He has done. This was a wonderful day, and they should express it in every way from their attitude, to their appreciation even to their announcing it through songs.
APPLY – Today marks the end of the first half of this year. What a year it has been! As we bring Missions Month to a close, we are reminded that every day is Missions Day! Every day we should be On Missions for Jesus thanking God for our salvation, telling others about the Good News of Jesus, and touching the lives of others with kindness and good deeds. So today, be Open for Business! Open your mouth and be a witness for Jesus. Open your hands and be a worker for Jesus in your blessing of others. Open your hearts and be a worshipper of Jesus through your singing.
PRAY – Father God, You have made this wonderful day for me and I choose to worship, witness and work for You! Use me for Your Glory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
