Dr. David Allen Text-Driven Preaching, Why and How! This workshop defines and explains Text-Driven Preaching as preaching that attempts to stay true to: 1) the substance of the text, 2) the structure of the text, 3) the spirit of the text. The workshop shows how this approach is basically expository preaching as it should be done!
Dr. Joel Gregory What Expository Preaching Is and What It Is Not Expository preaching has become the definitive term for those who preach with direct biblical authority.  It is often opposed to topical preaching as an alternative style.  Yet not everything that claims to be expository is so.  We will examine definitions of exposition, its practice and discuss what are the defining characteristics of exposition.

Special attention will be given to the seven signs of Jesus, the theme of believing, and Jesus’ description of worship. The student of Scripture will gain insight into communicating this Gospel in light of its stated purpose (John 20:31), and gain appreciation for John’s unique contribution to the Gospel story.

Special attention will be given to the lessons in the farewell address, and the significance of the cross and resurrection. The student of Scripture will discover avenues for preaching and teaching the great themes of this book, as well as gaining insight for life and ministry

Dr. Stacy Tyson How to Develop Jesus’ Mission and Vision for Your Church There have been endless books written on the nature and function of the Church. Often, the simple pattern that Jesus has given us is overlooked. This workshop discusses the vision of the Church specifically laid out in Ephesians 4. We will discuss the “Ones” in 4:1-6 that bind us together and then discuss the diversity of gifted people given to the Body to equip it for service in 4:7-13.
