FINANCIAL AWARENESS—The Financial Ministry actively focuses on developing spiritual and accountable stewards for God through, encouraging and promoting financial wisdom among the members of BMBC, and teaching Biblical principles concerning money.
MISSION/EVANGELISM—As Brown Baptist missionaries, we strive to carry out our church’s mission in practical ways. Our model to witnessing is based upon a three-fold approach. First and foremost, we evangelize. Evangelism consumes the majority of our time when we are on the mission field. Secondly, we serve human and social needs byway of various charitable projects. These projects are supported by our parishioners. To-date, we have built a church, given clothing, school and medical materials, and supplied water to people throughout Africa. Finally, it is an educational experience for participants on both sides of the sea.
SUNDAY SCHOOL—The Sunday School Ministry is a team of dedicated members of BMBC who constantly study the teaching and training program of the church, how to improve it, and how to involve each auxiliary and member of BMBC. To promote and enhance the Christian education program of BMBC. To increase attendance in Sunday School and Bible Class to reflect at least 50% of our membership roll. To ensure that all teachers are trained properly and are carrying out their total responsibilities. To implement new teaching programs which address the membership needs. Meet weekly to evaluate the teaching program of BMBC and strategize on ways for improvement. Enlist, train and recommend all church educational workers. Evaluate, determine and supervise the curriculum of the educational program. Prepare the educational budget of the church and submit the same for recommendation to the church.
VBS—Vacation Bible School; Vacation Bible School is intentionally designed to connect our congregation and visitors of all ages to God, create change in their hearts, and to give them an opportunity to share God's love with others. Our purpose for all VBS participants is stated in Ephesians 3: 17-19 “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” VBS is a unique and exciting opportunity to make an eternal difference in our lives. Held annually during the summer, it is such a blessing to see how VBS makes a difference in the lives of our children and their parents. Together we will hear the life-changing message of God’s love and grace.
